Motrin has heard!

Wow, Moms.  Kudos.  Motrin has actually taken down THEIR ENTIRE SITE to avoid any more bad PR from their commercial!  They are apparently sending out apologies to the thousands and thousands of women who are in an uproar because we don’t like being talked to like we’re 12.

In case you can’t find it anywhere else, here is the offending ad.  Just keep in mind that J&J has officially apologized!  Do with that what you will.

M. Night Shyamalan – Crazy Man, or The Craziest Man?

Spoilers ahead!  “The Happening”

Sooo we just watched The Happening.  I can wholeheartedly say I don’t recommend this movie to anyone.  Not only did it have ridiculous and unbelievable political overtones, it was just a dumb movie.  Justin’s commentary: “Can you believe they made a movie where trees are the bad guys and the good guys almost get killed by an old woman?”

I think the creepiest part of the whole movie was where Wahlberg was talking to that plastic tree.  That was just WEIRD.

Other than that, it didn’t really do much for me.  I had the movie figured out in the first five minutes, so there was not really any suspense.  In fact, I’m pretty sure that what happened was M Night had some Taco Bell grilled stuffed burritos one night before he went to sleep, and had a weird dream, then he had to get up early to go to his kid’s career day, and all day he was thinking about his dream, and when he got to career day he told the kids about his dream, and they were like “That sounds like a great movie!” and he was all “That would be a great movie!  You should write it as a class project!”  And they did.  And it sucked.

My favorite part?

The.  End.

Boycotting Motrin

Wow, Motrin. Kudos to this, your most horrific marketing idea. Did you even do a test demographic? Also, are you insane?

Apparently, for all you babywearing types out there, you’re kind of an idiot. In fact, you only do what’s best for your baby because it’s “in fashion.” You’re a martyr to your image, concerned only with looking “official.” Don’t you know that all benefits of babywearing are only “supposed?”

Silly mommy.

I will never buy another Motrin product! This was a very bad PR move, J&J. Marketing 101: don’t piss off so badly they gather thousands of their friends to boycott your product offend your intended target.
